We are proud to announce that we are now able to offer texture delivery direct from the TRU website. Since this is a new system, we know that problems might arise. Please follow the directions for how to purchase from the website and what to expect; however, if you have any problem or questions that are not answered in the how to section please contact Elizabeth Tinsley or Thorian Pennell sowe can assist you. Thank you and enjoy. 1. Buy a set in world at Textures R Us so that the system captures your avatar information. 2. Find a TRU Website Payment Kiosk located near the front desk at the main entrance of the store. 3. Right click on the TRU Website Payment Kiosk and choose Touch. This selection will give you two options; to check the balance of your webstore account or to set/change your password. 4. If you haven't set your password before or you have forgotten your password, choose password from the blue touch menu. 5. A chat command will tell you how to set/change your password. After the password is set you wil receive a notification that it is being updated with the system. Wait five minutes and you should be ready to go to log in to the TRU webstore. 6. After logging in to the webstore search for the set you would like to purchase. You can browse through the categories or do a keyword search for specific sets by either title or ID number. You can also search by artist. 7. Once you locate the set you would like to purchase, click on the thumbnail preview to examine the set in more detail. A new page will appear with the complete set on it and the option to "add this set to your wishlist" or "purchase this set". 8. If you don't have sufficient funds to purchase the set or you want to think about it a bit longer you can add the set to your wishlist and save it to look at later. If you know you want to purchase the set now select "purchase this set". 9. Once you have clicked on the "purchase this set" link, the system will examine your account balance to make sure you have sufficient funds. If you are not logged in yet you need to do this now. 10. If you do not have sufficient funds to cover the cost of the purchase you will receive a message to this affect and the transaction will be cancelled. If you do have sufficient funds you will receive a message that indicates delivery has started in world to your avatar. 11. The textures from the set you purchased will be delivered to your avatar in world one by one. You will have to accept each texture and they will appear in your textures folder. It is important to understand that there is a bit of wait time between your purchase on the website and delivery in world. Give ten minutes before assuming the transaction failed. If a transaction does fail your payment will be refunded to you in world and NOT credited toward your TRU webstore account. 12. NEW! : IMPORTANT NOTICE: NEW! You do NOT need to register with the TRU website to browse and teleport from "site to store" We are aware that at times you may be TP to the wrong side of the wall! We are working on a fix for this and suggest in the short term you use your camera to zoom through the wall and buy from the vendor as normal. Your avatar does NOT need to be situated at the English Rose island to be able to teleport from the website to a vendor in world. Infact, you do not even need to be logged into Second Life. Simply follow the SLURL link that pops up when you click the "buy set" link and you should be taken directly to the vendor. ( you must have a Second Life account to do this ) In the near future we will be adding the ability to purchase TRU textures direct from the website using Linden Dollar paid into ATMs located around Second Life. Textures R Us, affectionately known as TRU, was established by owner/artist LillyBeth Filth in 2004. It exists as the largest and one of the oldest texture suppliers in the virtual world of Second Life. Second Life is the brainchild of Linden Labs and is a virtual world created predominately by the residents of SL. Using textures and building blocks, called prims, the residents of Second Life have created a vibrant and community driven online world. TRU is the sole endorsed supplier of textures from these professional companies.
